0 : D. McL. WALLACE, LTD. - / An outstanding exhibit at the show was that of D. McLj Wallace, Ltd., who had a good display of milking machinery, consisting of their new milking machines, of which they have Already installed 100 with satisfactory results. The machine is worked on the direct drive system and is exceedingly simple. It can therefore be sold at a very low price, and the farmer is not called on to pay any fancy royalties for patent rights. The machine was invented and is manufactured by the. firm and reaches the user at a price which makes it doubly attractive. The firm’s - weighing and sampling machine, shown in actual working, was continually surrounded by interested farmers. This machine is designed to milk cows and provide the farmer with an easy method of ascertaining the amount of milk which each individual coW gives. So simple is the working that the required attention can be given by a boy or girl of 10 years. There is no lifting or. .carrying of milk in buckets. A tap is turned on and the engine does the rest. Another attraction consisted of the- famous Pye’s self-governing, shock-absorbing pulley for separators. They also had a good display of 'Ford cars and tractors, and many other implements which the. farmer requires. Altogether this go-ahead firm, had a very creditable display.

FARMERS’ AUCTIONEERING \ COMPANY The above firm, within a large marquee, 40ft by 40ft, made a display'of their different agency lines, including Hup, Essex and Chevrolet cars, and a wide range of motor tyres. Duncan top-dresser and scoops, two very fine pump jacks, of a type very useful to farmers during the dry season of the year, and a large collection of seeds, including all kinds of grasses and Cooper’s turnip and swede seeds. Whatever is much in demand by the farmer they were showing, down- to the oils and greases? needed for machinery, etc. A remarkable part of the exhibit were the s goods manufactured in the firm’s saddlery department. There is nothingin this line that the firm cannot sup-' ply, and it also manufactures tents, verandah blinds and any canvas goods required in connection with the farm. exhibits ; were well set out and fairly indicated the extent of the firm’s activities.
