Mr Miller, postmaster, Waitoa, has been transferred to Te Puke. Mr W. Powell, of the firm of Johnson and Powell, Waitoa, has returned from a holiday visit to the South. The Town Clerk, Mr F. W. Wild, lqft Te Aroha on Thursday for a few days fishing. He will return on Monday. Miss Borrie, exchange attendant at the Waitoa P. and T. office, Waitoa, has been transferred to Auckland. She will be succeeded by Mr A. E. Hayden, of Rotorua. Mr W. Brodie, manager, of the Bank of New Zealand, New Plymouth, is relieving Mr A. Wilson, Thames, who is leaving on six weeks’ furlough.

Mi- J. H. Lynch, of Morrinsville, has been appointed postmaster to Waitoa, where a new post office will be opened shortly. Mr Lynch was formerly attached to the Te Aroha office. Mrs Lynch is a daughter of Mr D. McL. Wallace, of Te Aroha.

Mr W. J. Byrne, of Paeroa, who is one of the most popular travellers visiting the Te Aroha district, left on Tuesday en route to the Harnner Springs Convalescent Home. Owing to a recurrence of war disabilities Mr Byrne has been ordered into the home for treatment. 'His many friends will wish him a speedy recovery of good health.

Mr W. J. McCullough, manager Weraroa Central Development Farm, has resigned owing to ill-health, and has transferred to fields’ division of the Agricultural Department. He will succeed Mr F. W. Greenwood as agricultural instructor, Wellington district, Avhich is to be enlarged, and will extend from Wellington to Te, Aute, Feiiding- and Foxton, embracing Wairarapa, Manawatu and Rangitikei districts. j
