The executive of the Thames Plunket Society have decided to promote an egg drive to promote their funds. In order to find what market they would have if eggs came in good quantity, certain ladies canvassed the town with the result that they secured orders for 2000 dozen eggs. One customer alone signified his intention of taking half that quantity. The executive will therefore be. very pleased to receive donations of fresh eggs in any quantity (says the Star), so that the Society may benefit from theymarket offering.
