FIGHTING AROUND VERDUN
The mauagemout of the Theatre Royal this morning gavo a private exhibition of the film depictiug scenes in the fighting around Verdun. Those who were privileged to see tho screening are loud in their praise of tho picture ,which, beiug the “ real thing" was all the more interesting, Real live war scenes afe shown, enabling those far away from the centre of hostilities to obtain an idea of the manner iu which war is conducted. Verdun forms a especially thrilling supject for screening, for all the world knows of tho gallant struggle of our French allies to prevent the fortress falling into the hands of the Gormans. As a war film the Verdun series to bo shown tonight and on Monday night (also to-morrow afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Theatre Royal stands out as one of the most interesting and thrilling pictures that have ever been shown, and crowded houses shonld reward the management.
