The secretary of the Te Aroha branch of the Church of England Men's Society, has received the following letter from Lieut.-Colonel E. Porritt, officer commanding the 6th (Hourajri) Regiment, which was recently encamped at Te Arohq, racecourse for the annual training : —At the conclusion of the camp I desire on behalf of the Regiment to convey to you our appreciation of the efforts of your Society on behalf of the young men in Camp. The recreation institutes been a great boon and the excellent work done by Capt. Chaplain Mallett has been of very great assistance from bo*h a military and moral standpoint, and I will be pleased to have your Society’s assistance at future camps.
