TE AROHA WEST.

SCHOOL JEAMS FAREWELLED. j. (Own Correspondent) A farewell social was tendered to Miss Stevens, assistant at the Te Aroha West School, recently at the residence of Mr John King, chairman of the school committee. Between 20 and 30 friends assembled. During the evening Mr King, on behalf of the residents of Te Aroha West, presented Miss Stevens with a very handsome gold wristlet lever watch and claßp. He spoke in high praise of the good work Miss Stevens had done in ths school at Te Aroha West, and wished her every success in her new undertaking. Musical items were rendered during the evening by Miss Stevens, the Misses Hines, and Messrs J. King, G. Wood, W. G. Wood, Fielder, and Master Rex'Hamlyn. Mr King also gave a recitation. Accompaniments were played by the Misses Hines (2) and Stevens. A light supper was handed round and a very enjoyable evening terminated with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
