'On Monday, da the local greens, a a small full-rink tourney was played, the competing teams being:—Whyte, White, Greening, and Simson ; Hinton. Cumming, Ellett, and Peterson ; Munro, Miller, Harford, and P. Heathcote; Carroll, Kretchmar, J. Heathcote, and Massey ; Wylie, HodgsoD, Wallace, and Green ; . Brown, Grey, Sherlock, and Ngakuru. Simson beat Peterson 16 6, Heathcote beat Massey 15—13 after a tie ; Ngakuru beat Green 15 —8. Heathcote heat Ngakuru, Simson beat Ngakuru, and in the final Heathcote ibeat Simson 16—8.
