A BIC GATHERING Heavy rain fell in Te Aroha on Easter Monday morning, but nevertheless a big assemblage was present at the Te Aroha District Cycling and Athletic Club’s first annual sports meeting. The assemblage included representatives from Thames, Waihi, Hamilton, and surrounding districts. The Te Aroha Municipal Baud was in attendance.

Maiden Cycle Dash, 1- mile—M. Phillips 1, B. Arman 2, J. Wilson 2. A big field started, and resulted in a close finish. Devey, Lock and two others collided and fell while in good positions. 50yds Dash Handicap. —P. O’Douoghue 1, C. Keesing 2, G. Nick oil 3.

Domain Cycle Handicap, 1 mile.— L. Griffiths, 100yds 1, H. Moon, 190 yds 2, G. Bateman, 160yds 3. Twenty-four competitors started. Time 2min. 33secs.
