Auckland Queen Carnival
THE CORONATION The natural climax to the Auckland Queen Carnival was the coronation ceremony which took place on Wednesday at the Town Hall, Auckland. Amidst a scene of splendour which eclipsed all preceding events of the past ten weeks, the elected queen, Mrs R. F. Bollard, the nominee of South Auckland, was duly crowned, made a speech from the throne, conferred coronation honours, issued a royal proclamation, held a-court reception, and ruled for a brief space over her new “ sub* jects.”
