The Farmers’ Auctioneering Company, Ltd, report —Waihou Sale — There was a medium yarding and prices throughout maintained about tha same level as at the previous sale. There was a large yarding of calves, which fetched from £1 10s to £2 10s. Store cows realised from £3 10s to £5, and fat cows from £5 to £lO 2s. A line of 20 months steers brought £4 os. Fat wethers fetched 255, ewes 235, and a small entry of lambs brought 17s. —Tirau Sale — Prices —Fat ewes 19s 6d, woolly lambs 12 lOd to 14s 2d, good shorn lambs 12 lOd, prime fat heifers £8 18s, heavy fat cows £4 7s, Shorthorn heifers in calf £4 to £6, three year steers £6 7s 6d, good shorthorn steer calves £2 6s to £2 9s, calves, mixed sexes, 355. —Hamilton Sale — Prime fat wethers 23s 6d to 27s 6d, fat ewes 19s to 19s 9d, fat lambs 17s Id to 18s, well-grown store lambs from Gisborne 9s, aged ewes in lamb 11s 6d to 14s, prime fat heavy cows £8 I7s 6d to £7 7s, fleshy cows £4 15s to £5 Bs, good Shorthorn 18 to 20 month steers £4 15s, two year heifers in calf £4 15s, good Shorthorn calves 37s to £2, good heifer calves 335.
