Blenheim, Sept. 24. THE MARLBOEOUGH GOLD FINDS. PEGGING OUT ON SUNDAY.
A 26 ounce nuggefc worth £91 is now on view at the National Bank here. It came came from Scaffs claim on the right branch of the Wahikawapa Creek. A good deal of quartz is adhering to it. It was found within a few yards of the reef which encourages the belief that the reef is rich. The richness of the field is now beyond doubt, and there is no need for hesitation in chronicling the finds. A rush has broken out to Waikakaha range, within 2 hours of Blenheim. Over 100 claims were pegged out yesterday, and at 10.30 this morning the Warden had issued 25 miners' rights.
