UP'ARDS.

A i'Ksky night was coming down As a youn« man tramped thro' a country town. In his list he clutched a tattered flay, And this hero motto was on the i\ig— " UpVirds ! " From under his old tile's battered brim His dark eye flashed like a taller glim ; He looked nor, to left, he looked riot to right, But continued to hoh.r with all his might, " Up'ards!"
