WELLINGTON, Feb 18

The High Commissioner’s "market report dated, London, February 15, is

as follows:

Meat.—Although a slight increase ‘of supplies is/coming forward the demand is in excess of the supply. All descriptions are selling at maximum prices, including New Zealand and zen beef, and Argentine chilled beef. Butter and Cheese—Conditions are unchanged, with active demand and short supplies. Maximum prices are not changed. Hemp.—Manila and New Zealand spot market is strong. In -Manila -.moderate business has been done for forward shipment. /von New Zealand nothing is being done on account of freight difficulty. The Manila output in last week of January was 20,against 41,165 bales on Ist of last year. Wheat—The market is quiet owing to absence of offers. Oats. —Active demand, full prices. -
