AIR RAID ON LONDON. NO SERIOUS DAMAGE. Received 10.5. LONDON, Feb 17. Official: Six aeroplanes approached' the mouth of the Thames at 9.45 > last night, and carried out an attach on London. All were turned Back, except one, which penetrated the capital and dropped bombs in the southeast district at 10 o'clock and demolished a house, burying an invalided officer and his wife and two children. The raider previously dropped other bombs in the eastward outskirts, but the casualties and damage were not serious. An attack on Dover "at 10.45" was driven: oc, and bombs were dropped in the open county Several pilots engaged the enemy, and one action" over the Kentish coast resulted in one large enemy machine crashing into the sea. Casualties and Carnage apparently were light. BRITISH BOMB ZAYDWIGE. Received 10.5. LONDON, Feb 17. Admiralty report: Our aircraft dropped many bombs at Zaydwige dump on Saturday. A fire started m the centre of the objective. All our machines returned safely.
