TAIHAPE MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
The monthly sitting- of the Taihapc Magistrate's Court was held to-day, His Morship (Mr J. G. L. Hewitt) presiding. P. Mclnteer for riding a motor bike at night without carrying a light, was convicted and fined £l. H. L. West, for furiously and negligently riding a horse along Tui and and Hautapu Streets, was convicted and fined £l. J. G. Collins, for permittnig stock to wander, was convicted and fined 2s 6d T_ Bushby, for permitting stock to wander, was convicted •without penalty. CIVIL, CASES. Judgment was given for plaintiffs by default in the following cases: B. Collerton v. T. Pine, £l7 10/-, costs, £2 4/-; B. T. Missen v. Hoeroa Tiopioa (use 'phone, rent, and charges) £5/14/3, costs 14/-; B. T. Missen v. H. Chase (telephone rent and charges) £3/14/6, costs 10/-; F. J O'Keefe v. H. Collins, £3/3/-, costs 10/-; D. J. McLennan v. W. Thompson, £9 5/-, costs £l/4/6; McLaugnlan Bros, v. Te Ote Pone, £6/10/6. costs £l/8/6; same v. Kingi Mahauriki, £5/5/6, costs £l/8/6. A. Mog-han sued W. F. Ward for £5/17/- rent and possession of tenant. Defendant made no appearance, and judgment was given for plaintiff for the amount of the claim and the possession of the tenement, costs amounting to £l/17/- being allowed. M. Bilderbeck was ordered to pay G. E. Little the sum of £2/1/6, in default one day's imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays 5/- per month on the sth of every month.
