THE NEW MAP OF EUROPE. Mr. J. Ellis Barker foresees as a consequence of German and Austrian dofeat, not only the loss of all German territory eastward of the Ehine, and of German Poland, but of Schleswig, which will return to Denmark, and territorial compensation to Belgium; while Austria-Hungary—of whose 53,000,000 only 12,000,000 are Germans, and only 8,000,000 bona fide Magyars, while only 30,000,000 are Slavs will lose most of its territory and population, and the Hapsburgs, like the Hohenzollerns, may disappear. Bohemia with Moravia might become an independent kingdom. Probably 5,000,000 Austrian Poles would go to the new Poland; 3,500,000 Eutherians would probably go to Eussia, with whose people they are reihted; 5,000,000 Serbs would go to Servia; 3,000,000 Roumanians of Transylvania to Eoumania, and 1,000,000 Italianas to Italy.
