MEETING OF COUNCIL. The monthly meeting of the council of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce was presided over by Mr W. M. Tyers. A sub-committee was appointed to report to the council on the question of port communications. Complaint having been made as to delay in obtaining parcels subject to duty, a deputation was appointed to wait on the Collector of Custo: is on tho matter.
