Several coastal vessels I have been wrecked, with loss of life. Five of the crew of the Rhoscolyn lifeboat were drowned while proceeding to the assistance of a "vessel in Carnarvon Bay. Ships on the Tyne broke from their moorings and collided with (others, doing considerable damage.
