PRACTICE FAIRLY GENERAL. INQUIRY TO BE MADE. (Special to The Sun.] WANGANUI, August 17. It is understood that the telephone bureau case yesterday, which resulted iu a country storekeeper being fined for niakiDg free use of a telephone bureau, will have some far-reaching effects. It is repoted that preliminary investigations have proved that there is a pretty general usage of telephone bureaux without payment by officials in various parts of-New. Zealand. As a consequence, a Dominion inquiryis to be instituted. The matter is causing great excitement in P. and T. circles, as so many are alleged to be implicated in the practice of free bureaux.
