ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Football Association met last evening, Mr R. English presiding. Favourable repjies were received to a suggestion from the Canterbury association that a conference of delegates from the various associations should be held to discuss mailers connected with ,the welfare of the game. It was decided to agree to a suggestion from the Wellington association that the conference should be held in Wellington Oil August 28. Messrs R. B. Bunt and H. Rhodes were appointed to attend the conference. Application for the use of English Park on August 21 and 28 and September 1 was received from the Canterbury Rugby League, it being intended to hold a "knock out" competition on these days. It was pointed out that the Ladies' Hockey Association had the use of the ground on August 21, and it was agreed to grant the league the ground on August 28. It was also decided to giant the use of the ground to the league on September I, subject to the condition that the final of the English Cup (Association' lie played as a eurlain-raiser. It was decided to raise a. Canterbury primary school team to play in a tournament in Christchureh about September 1 with trains from Wellington and Dunedin, and to make the best arrangements possible to billet the visiting teams.
