A REMINDER.

INCREASE IN POSTAGE. People who do not use the postal service regularly every day are reminded that since August 1, the following rates obtain: Inland letters 2d for 2oz, postcards lid, parcels 6d for the first pound, newspapers Id, printed matter lid for each 4oz up to lib. Other increases have also been notified. The taxation in this department is' generally felt to be severe, though necessary. In view of increasing costs of all the necessaries of life, Gerstena will be more than ever welcome in the homes of the people.
