Mary's Roman Catholic Parish, for a bazaar to he held this month in aid of funds to build a new school. It is intended that the school shall be a memorial to old hoys of the parish who fell in the Great War. The bazaar is to be held in the King Edward Barracks, and will commence to-morrow evening. It will be continued during the following week, and the school children and others have been trained to gi'we a pageant every evening. The "Daily News" of June 2 states that the House of Commons suspended its sitting for three-quarters of an hour iu order to do honour to Miss Isobel Law, daughter of Mr Bonar Law, who is to marry Major-General Sir Frederick Sykes, at St. Columbia's. Pout Street, to-day. Headed by the Speaker, the Cabinet, and leaders of parties, and members flocked to the Terrace and witnessed a presentation to Miss Law in the name of the Commons. The wedding gift, subscribed by (110 M.P.'s, consisted of a service of plate. Accompanying it was an album containing the names of the members and the portraits of Ministers. It was intimated that the King and Queen desired to attach their signatures.

Mrs Irving Bloxam, who is about to leave for England, was given a farewell dinner and fox-trot party by a number of her friends, at the Carlton Cafe last evening.
