TAI TAPU.

A meeting of the Flower Show Committee was held in the school to make arrangements for the annual show, which is to be held on January 8, 1920. Mr T. O. Morgan (chairman of the school committee) presided, and there was a good attendance of members. A sub-committee was appointed to re-" arrange the schedule for the ensuing year, and several new competitions were added. The show is to be held in conjunction with the Patriotic Committee. Mr R. Macartney, on behalf of Colonel R. H. Rhodes's reception committee, thanked the members for the assistance they had given in making the welcome home so successful Heavy rains; with hall and snow on the hills*, have been experienced in the district during the past few days. Grass is abundant, and the country is really looking well. Should no frosts come now, there is good promise for an abundance of fruit.
