EXPANSION LEAGUE.

FOR WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

Pre*a Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, Nov. 6. At a meeting of local bodies' delegates to-day it was decided to form an Expansion League for the Wellington district, having as its objects the advancement of the prosperity of, and intensive settlement in, the southern [portion of the North Island and the Dominion generally, and that the constitution of the Otago League be in the meantime adopted. Palmerston North was decided upon as the executive headquarters. The provisional committee comprises Messrs C. M. Luke (Wellington), E. H. Crabb, T. R. Hodder, L. Broad (Palmerston), C. E. Daniel (Masterton), H.-P. Horn (Woodville), D. W. Matheson (Levin), J. Chrystall (Foxton), W. S. Wilson (Wellington), W. C. Bramwell (Feilding), J. P. Luke, M.P. (Wellington), W. B. Matheson (EKetahuna), and W. McKenzie (Palmerston), secretary, with all district members ex-officio.
