SWIMMING.

LYTTELTON LADIES' CLUB. The 13th annual meeting of the Lyttelton Ladies* Swimming Club was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Tuesday. There was a good attendance of members, Mrs Colin Cook presiding. The report and balance-sheet showed the club to have had a successful season, having a credit balance of £l2 1/9. The following offleers were elected for the ensuing season:—President, Mrs Colin Cook; vice-presidents, Mesdamcs C. Brown, E. R. Curtis, J. Bundy, W. Cleary, Henderson, Hunter, and Mazey; secretary, M. Cook; treasurer, Miss E, Bundy; captain, Miss B. Harris; deputy-captain, Miss \V. Collins; timekeeper and handicapper, Mr Mazey; committee, Mesdames Hutchison, Weastell, Rhind, Misses L. Brown, Thorpe, M. Hutchison, and Miekle. Opening day was fixed for Saturday, November 22, and beach days are to start on Wednesday, November 26. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Mazey for his services as timekeeper, also to the retiring committee and to Mrs E. R. Curtis, who has retired from the position of treasurer, which she has successfully filled I for the past five years.
