ADDINGTON MARKET.

BEEF MUCH DEARER. Although, the sale of beef cattle at the Addington Metropolitan market yesterday was one of the "hottest" for some considerable time, butchers were able to purchase sheep at prices which generally were slightly under last week's rates. The occasion was a double market, as no saiu will be held next week. In the store sections a feature was the large yarding of store cattle which overflowed into other sections. But in this case the supply was in excess of the demand. The sale attracted a large attendance. . FAT SHEEP. Eleven well-filled races of fat sheep were oiTercd, this being easily the largest yarding since the freezing season closed. There were some splendidly-finished sheep, both wethers and ewes, and also many shorn wethers in good "nick." The market opened at about last week's rates, and, although it eased slightly later, there was no great drop. Shorn sheep were perhaps easier than i others.
