A. & P. SHOW.
BIG INCREASE IN ENTRIES. Large entries have been received for the annual show of the Canterbury A. and P. Association to be held at Addington on November 13 and 14. They exceed last year's total by 400, as will be seen by the following comparison:— 1919. 1918. Farmers Judging it 42 29 Horses 427 405 Sheep ~ , 731 571 Cattle ~ ~ .. .. 313 213 Pigs 61 34 Hogs 11 12 Dairy Produce, etc. .. 150 182 . Soldiers' Work .... 101 Timber Exhibits ..4 1876 1176 Although this year's total of exhibits docs not yet come up to those usually received in pre-war days, the marked revival in interest by farmers is particularly gratifying, especially in view of the backward state of tho season. Especially keen competition should be looked for. The cattle classes have attracted some exceptional animals. In the Shorthorn section there are 210 entries, more than double those received for the previous show.
