KINGFISHER'S CREW.
SAFELY TAKEN OFF. Press Association. WANGANUI, November 4. Last evening the sea was too rough for lighters to go to the assistance of the crew of the launch Kingfisher. The liner Tropic, at the request of the harbourmaster, stood by all night, with a lifeboat swung ready for an emergency. The steamer Mana, which was waiting for a lull in the weather, managed to get out at 4 a.m. to-day, and succeeded in picking up the men, who were none the worse for their experience.
