The Emperor participated in the manoeuvres, which took place in Tokio Bay. GUN TURRET BLOWN INTO SEA. Australian and A'.Z Cable Association. (Rec. Nov. -i, 8.45) TOKIO, Nov. 1. The explosion on the Japanese warship blew the gun turret into the sea, killing an officer and 12 of the crew, and injuring several. The Emperor was a spectator of the disaster.
