RUMANIA.

The Supreme Council has sent an ultimatum to Rumania, owing to her failure to reply to the Council's Notes protesting against pillaging in Hungary. The ultimatum provides a time limit. Failing satisfaction, relations will be broken off and the diplomats recalled. TROUBLE WITH SERBIA. (A. & N.Z.) COPENHAGEN, Sept. 3. It is reported from Vienna that there is extreme tension between Rumania and Serbia. The Rumanians have concentrated 14 divisions in the districts which the Peace. Treaty demands that the Serbians shall evacuate. The concentration aims at forcing the Rumanian demands regarding the banat of Temesvar. The Serbians are hastily protecting the * Danube frontier.
