LIMIT TO BE EXTENDED. Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 19. The Acting-Minister of Finance states that the State Advances Board has ideeided to extend the limits for lending to local authorities and. settlers. It is proposed that the limit for local authorities will be extended to £IO,OOO, instead of £SOOO, in a year.'-The 1 limit;for.settlers desiring to procure homes will be' extended to £IOOO, instead of £SOO, the extension not to include a loan for the repayment of mortgages unless specially authorised by the board.
