THE TRAM SMASH.
CONDITION OF VICTIMS.
Information obtained from the Christchurch Hospital to-dav showed that Olive Stella Needham," a two-year-old child, of Vogel Street, Richniond, who sustained serious injuries in the tramway smash, at the Heathcotc Bridge, is improving, as is also Betty Ennor Matthews, aged six, of 73 Bealey Street, St. Albans, who was reported on Saturday to be still in a.critical condition. The following are all doing well:—Eric P. Genn (22), Dunaloa McCallum (4), Daphne Chapman (11), lan McCallum (8), James Borthwick (59), Emile Diehl (62), Mrs G. W. Laughton, Mrs Matthews, Mrs C. Reid, and William F.'.. veil. There is no improvement in Ike condition of John A. Chapman (41), of 107 Montreal Street, j Sydenham.
