N.Z. FARMERS' CO-OP. ASSOCIATION, LTD. ' The N.Z. Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., has decided to appeal to existing shareholders and others to apply for further shares, in order to 'secure additional capital. This course has been rendered necessary owing to the new branches of the company's business which have been opened; and the expansion of the general trade returns, combined with the anticipation of further extensions. The nominal capital of the : association is £1,250,000, and the - subscribed capital £810,075. The paid-up capital is £530,910, the reserve account stands at £IOO,OOO, and the last year's turnover was £4,028,009. An advertisement in this issue gives further details. TO-DAY'S POULTRY MARKET. Messrs J. B. Mcrrett and Co. report a large entry to-day. Prices were exceedingly good. Table chickens realised 6/0 to 11/3, hens 3/- to 7/2, ducks 5/- to 9/0, pullets 8/to 10/0, geese 7/- to 9/-, turkeys 11/- to 33/-, all per pair. EGG MARKET. The egg market continues to be very firm, and the supplies are not suillcient for the demand, especially in the first grades. Canterbury Egg Circle first grades realised 3/-, seconds 2/8 per dozen. WAIHI RETURNS. Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 2. The Waihi return for the period ended April 19 is £22,004 from 11,908 tons; Grand Junction, £7371 from 4900 tons.
