CYCLIST INJURED.

While riding a bicycle along Papanui Road at 8.45 this morning a plumber named Harry Heatliley, employed in the Post and Telegraph Department, was knocked down .by a motor cyclist, and was so seriously injured that he had to be conveyed to the Ohristchureh Hospital, where it was ascertained that he had a broken log'. The injured man, who is middle-aged, has been in the employ of the department for about six or seven years.
