RUN DOWN BY MOTOR CAR
CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. Prttt AtttcUtUn. LEVIN, April 28. An inquest was held to-day on Richard Trechtling, who was killed while riding a bicycle in the main street on Easter Monday night, by a collision with a car. Evidence was given that Trechtling was on his right side. The car came behind him and dragged him for 24 feet. The car driver did not slacken pace nor poll up after the collision. The coroner found that deceased met his death by being run down by a car, and from the police evidence the driver of the car appeared to be Hchepa Wlremu. The latter was subsequently arrested and charged with manslaughter. He was remanded until May 1.
