Progressive Candidate To the Electors,— In my opinion it is essential that the Board pursue a more aggressive policy than in the past, compelling the Government to carry out the long-promised alterations to the railways, giving greater facilities for the economical handling of goods. I would support the enlarging of the present tunnel to enable tram, vehicular, and pedestrian traffic to have direct communication with the city. I wish to assure the electors of my earnest desire to further the interests and resources of Lyttelton and make the port still more worthy of Canterbury. VOTE FOR NORTON
