RAILWAY SERVANTS.
SICK BENEFIT SOCIETY. The annual meeting of Hie Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants' Union Siek Benefit Society was held on Monday evening, Mr J. \V. Toomcy presiding. The annual report stated that sick pay this year, owing to the. influenza, had reached a high mark, £"!.S2 14/4. The year commenced with :i(il members, it had been transferred or left the service, five had been superannuated, and 20 had joined. In conclusion Hie report thanked the collectors, doctors, and heads of departments for their assistance during the year. The balance-sheet showed that there was a credit balance in hand of £BB 13/11.—The report and balance-sheet were adopted. 'Hie election of officers resulted as follows:- President, Mr .1. YV. Toomcy; vice-pie>:dcnt, Mr 11. Stackhouse; secretary, Mr 11. Chaplin; sick visitor, Mr .1. T. Bobbins; trustees, Messrs R. 1.. Burgess and T. Their; auditors, Messrs !■'.. Cameron and F. Elliott; provisional auditor, Mr 11. Ilurrell; committee Messrs J. Keltic, .1. T. Bobbins (shop department), T. Elliott, li. .1. Ilarr, ami F. Uillard (traiUc), 11. Burrell, li. L. Burgess, and T. Their (goods), E. Hill, and E. Crimson (permanent way). A vole of sympathy was passed to the relatives of those members who had died as a result of the epidemic.
