CRICKET.
THE RICCARTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Riccarton District Cricket Club was held on Friday evening. Mr 0. Caygill presiding. The report and balance-sheet (a summary of which has been published) were adopted. Ollicers were # elected as follow:—Patron, Mr John Brown (Mayor of Riccarton); president, Mr A. Boyle; vice-presidents, Messrs R. Maxwell, O. Caygill, J. C. Clarkson, ami 1C M. Warren; club captain, Mr A. E. Byrne; lion, treasurer, Mr M. 0. Sinclair; bon. secretary, Mr C. C. Holland; committee, Messrs H. B. Whllta, R. H. North, R. Taylor, A. C. Fuller, E. E. Luttrell, A. Nicholson, and J. McKenzie; delegates to Canterbury Cricket Association, Messrs E. E. Luttrell, H. B. Wbifta, A. E. Byrne, and M. O. Sinclair; auditors, Messrs F. W. Powell, and E. Boulton > delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr M. 0. Sinclair; delegates to Hagley Park Ground Committee, Messrs E. E. Luttrell and H. B. Whitta. Mr R. H. North was appointed selector, to act with captains of teams. The opening day was provisionally flsed i for September 28, a match to be played with East Christchurch. It was decided that in future the proceeds from afternoon tea he devoted to the club’s funds. THE WOOLSTON CHIB. At the annual meeting of tin- Wool stun Cricket Club, held on Friday, it was decided to rename the club the Woolsfon- ! I Rcnnclls; vice-club captain, Mr E. L. H. Brown; committee, Messrs .1. Levi, W. J. I Lawson, G. Norris, E. 1,. H. Brown, A. Gale, and club captain; selectors, Messrs W. J. Lawson and H. Bennclls. It was decided to open the season on September 28 at Woolston.
