MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
TO-DAY’S CASES. Mr S. IC. McCarthy, S.M., presided at the Magistrate’s Court this morning. Drunkenness.—Two tirst offenders for drunkenness were lined 5 in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. CIVIL BUSINESS. Nonsuited.—A nonsuit was granted in Edwin Mitchell Drapper v. Robert Cox (Mr .1. A. Cassidy i, a claim for £3, the Magistrate stating that the plaintiff’s brother-in-law, who appeared on his behalf, had no authority to do so. Alleged Breath tf Warranty.—Harrison Drummond (Mr L. W. Gee) claimed £ll 10/from Dudley Hampton (Mr .1. A. Cassidy) in respect of an alleged breach of warranty in connection with the sale of a cow. The Magistrate nonsuited the plaintiff, stating that from the evidence there had been no warranty given. Judgment by Default.—Judgment for plaintiff by default, with costs, was given in each of the following cases:—Pyne and Co. v. George Gardiner, £B2 8/(5; A. H. Turnbull and- Co. v.
