THE CENTRAL POWERS.
SUSPICIOUS ALLIES. (A. & N.Z.) AMSTERDAM, May 27. German military circles are seriously concerned about Turkey's and Bulgaria's military inactivity, which they fear hides designs against the Central Powers; hence the negotiations for closer unity between Austria and Germany. The "Munchner Nachrichten" stales that the Emperor's visit to Sofia and Constantinople is regarded as of the greatest political importance, presaging the inclusion of the southern allies in the Middle Europe economic scheme. The situation in Bohemia and other Slav countries is growing worse. A state of siege has been proclaimed in five Austrian provinces.
