A BAD SMASH.
MOTOR AND MILK-CART COLLIDE.' A bad smash occurred on the North Road, about a mile and a-half beyond' the Papanui extension terminus, last I night. A taxi was returning to town; when it collided with a milk-cart, and dashed into a ditch on the side of the road. The motor car was badly smashed, and finished end- up in the ditch. The milk-cart was also knocked about. So far as can be ascertained no one was seriously injured.
