FIRES.
OUTBREAK AT ST. ALBANS, The Fire Brigade received a call at about 10.15 last night to No. 11 Caledonian Eoad, where a lire had broken out in the roof of a six-roomed unoccupied dwelling, owned by Mr Black, of 136 Fitzgerald Street. The owner had recently spent £65 on improvements to the house, and a tenant was to have taken possession to-morrow. The damage was done to the room and the walls of the kitchen. The ceiling of an adjoining room was burnt through. The electric light had just been installed, and it was probably due to the fusing of the wires that the fire originated. The house was insured for £3OO in the Liverpool and London and Globe office.
