A DANGEROUS CROSSING.
To the Editor of THE SUN. Sir, —An accident which might very easily have resulted in the loss of life, but fortunately only caused serious damage to a motor-delivery van, occurred at the crossing of Church Lane and Opawa Bead this afternoon. This is a very dangerous crossing, as high trees on either side of the road prevent any sight of the tram going either in or out. The tramline comes down on the wrong side of the Opawa Boad (it is too late to alter that now, although the line ha a been practically relaid within the last few weeks), and what I wish to draw attention to is that this is the only corner that the board has not adopted the plan of the “out” car stopping on the city side of the cross road, and vice versa with regard to the “in” car. Had the same rule existed with regard to this stopping-place the accident that occurred to-day could not have happened. Is there any reason why this parti* cnlarly dangerous stopping-place should be made more dangerous than all the others? —I am, etc., MOTOBIST. ilareh 12.
