j ST. DAVID'S DAY CELEBRATION. J A St. David's Day celebration was held : by tlic Cambrian Society on Snturdav cvcii- ; iiipt, the president (Ml- I>. L. Davies) occupvI ing Ihc chair. The proceedings were opened with a short | address by Mr Davies, after which .a splendid, musical programme was submitted and j".;voi-iil toasts honoured. Miss Dorothy Nottingham was heard In advantage | n two Welsh sours, white the Christehureh M»nidolin Parly contributed several selections. Others who rendered items were Miss Clara ISnwden and Mr A. C. Nottingham. ! Mr John Kvans, in a brief address. ! honoured the memory of Welshmen who I had fallen in the great war, and those present sang "The lilood on Calvary's Cross." In proposing the toast to St. David, the patron sain! of Wales. Mr 11. M. Williams gave a brief sketch of the history of Wales ! and its patron saint. | The gathering closed with the singing of j the National Anthem.
