THE OTIRA TUNNEL.
AN OFFICIAL DEPUTATION.
The deputation which is going to view the Otira tunnel will consist of five or six members of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, the .Mayor of Christchurch, and the Town Clerk. It will have the Christchurch railway station bv the West Coast train on Tuesday, January 29, and proceed to Otira, where the West Coast deputation will be met.
The Minister of Public Works has consented to allow the engineer in charge to conduct the visitors through the tunnel. It is propositi to have again for Christchurch on the following Thursdav.
