SUCCESS OF RECENT FRENCH OFFENSIVE.
PRISONERS NUMBER OVER 11,000, WITH 180 GUNS. (A. & N.Z. & Reuter.) (Re<-. Nov. -2. s.4n a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 1. A French communique reports:—Our offensive between October 'l'-l and October 27 yielded 11.157 prisoners, including 237 officers, and 180 guns. Between the Meuse and Bezonvaux there is a fairly lively bombardment. Our aeroplanes bombed the railway stations at Thionville. Bettemburg, Maziere, Longueville, Woippy and Luxemburg. All our objectives wltq hit.
