MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
TO-DAY'S CASES. Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., presided at | the Magistrate's Court this morning. Drunkenness. —Fred .lames Williams ■ a second offender, was fined 10/-. Landing Without Passports.—Two aliens, Harry Thomson and Gust Thoren, were charged with landing in New Zealand without passports. Sub-Inspec-tor Mullaney said that they hail thereby committed a breach of section 7, subsections 2, Ji, and 4 of the War Regulations Act. The men had come ashore ' and insisted on staying ashore. They were ordered to be kept in custody until the departure of their vessel. Procuring Liquor.—Francis S. Parker (Mr Twyneham) was charged with a ' breach of his prohibition order. Ho ' was convicted and discharged. Frederick Seelen, similarly charged, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Maintenance Cases.—Egsto Brunie, who did not appear to answer a charge of failing to support his wife in the Mental Hospital, was ordered to pay 2/6 a week. William Hayes, charged with being £2 12/G in arrears on a maintenance order, was lined 20/-.
