A CORRECTION.
To fhe Editor of THE SUN. Sir,—ln your issue of Tuesday, tOlh inst., you published an article on “early closing” under (he noni de plume oi‘ “John Plowman,” a writer who is well informed as a rule. On this occasion however he made a slip as the Christchurch Hotel Employees’ Union was not represented at the Labour Conference where (i o’clock closing was discussed. In the meantime 1 would feel obliged if you would make that correction; subsequently I may have something to say respecting employers’ agents who have come from other centres under the guise of union officials, and of their endeavours to make use of hotel workers and the Hotel and Restaurant Employees’ Union on behalf of the Licensed Victuallers’ Associations of the Dominion. —I am, otc JOHN BARR, Hon. Secretary, Canterbury Hold and Restaurant Employees’ Union. 11/7/17. '
