THE CANTERBURY UNION. The Managing Committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union met last evening. Present, Messrs F. T. Evans (president), S. F. Wilson, C. Buchanan, R. W. Brittan, A. MePhail, F. D. The Merivale ground in North Hagley Park was to be ploughed up, but it might be arranged that the Merivale I Club should have one of the grounds at I the polo ground. The grounds men-1 tioned would cost £2 10/- each. Of course, until entries for the competition clo.-ed the exact position could not be estimated.
