BRIGHTON BOROUGH.
COUNCIL MEETING. The New Brighton Borough Council met last night, there being present: The Mayor (Mr J. A. Flesher) and Councillors J. Ashley, C. 11. Winny, J. Ainger, W. Bellamy, E. A. Leaver, T. Cox, F. Kibblewhite, J. Buxton, and F. Christian. Messrs Adams and Baggs wrote, asking for a special permit to build two houses on a section. —Permission was granted. The invitation of the manager of the Premier Picture Co. for the Mayor and councillors to be present at a Bed Cross entertainment on ■ March 1!), was accepted with thanks. A sum of £lO was voted to the funds of the Technical College. A motion by Or Ashley to increase the I amount being defeated. I The Wellington South Salvation Army lhi\u\ was granted the use of I the rotunda for a concert on Faster ' Mondav. I The lender of the Glenmorc Brick Vid Tile Company was accented for the supply and delivery of broke! l metal and screenings. Permission to remove a building I from Plif'h's Gardens was refused.
